Our Original Founder - Richie V
The late Richie Vulpis founded Music Express in the early 1970s in the heart of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, NY. He started by providing DJ services and teaching dance lessons, hosting Disco parties in the area. As time went on, he expanded into a multi-op DJ company, offering wedding entertainment and performing at Sweet 16 parties for many years. Many of the DJs who worked for Music Express eventually went on to establish their own DJ companies. In the early 2000s, Richie expanded to Manalapan, NJ, focusing on event planning for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, aiming to create a competitive company in the central New Jersey area. Following Richie's passing in 2013, Music Express continues to entertain and produce events as always.
Leo Bifulco
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I started my journey as a DJ in the late 1980s with a small company called LeeoBee Entertainment, providing DJ services for nightclubs, bars, and local private events. As we expanded our reach, we merged with Richie from Music Express in 2005, transforming into a rapidly growing entertainment production company. Following the passing of our founder, Richie Vulpis, we shifted our focus to become more of an event planning and event production company, specializing in wedding entertainment and a variety of other events.
Music Express
Music Express has evolved into a full-service Event Production Company, specializing in event planning and production. We continue to provide exceptional wedding entertainment at events like Weddings, Sweet 16s, and Bar & Bar Mitzvahs. However, the majority of our focus has shifted towards the corporate industry, handling a variety of events from large park concerts and Halloween festivities to intimate 50th birthday parties. We also collaborate with various partners in the entertainment industry, including DJ services.
